Chelsea FC ≠ Jose Mourinho
Well, he quit Chelsea recently. I’d rather put it as he was told to quit by the owner, Roman Abramovich, who treats him as just a championship winning pet or something. Like Dave, one of the main reasons why I supported Chelsea FC was because of the arrival of Jose Mourinho. Yes, he is snobbish at times, but who can even say he’s a bad manager?
After three years, they announced that “Chelsea Football Club and Jose Mourinho have agreed to part company today (Thursday) by mutual consent.”
Something tells me that Abramovich is the culprit behind this, to hire a new manager that would be his new pet to win championships. Does sacking Mourinho do any good to Chelsea? Not at all.
Ironically, Avram Grant lost his first match at Chelsea
Now Abramovich will have to go get Jose Mourinho back to Chelsea. Idiot. Of three years, he got 2 EPL titles for Chelsea. In a row. Think Grant can do it?
Quote from Dave: Even though “The Special One” had left Chelsea FC, the blue flag would still soar high, I just know it.
I will always have respect for Mr. Mourinho, no matter what his next club shall be. He did well at Chelsea, and I’m confident he’ll do better elsewhere. He brought Chelsea to where it is right now. Without offense, I feel Chelsea is a sinking ship right now, just waiting for someone to throw a lifeboat to them. Chelsea fans like Dave and myself will certainly miss Jose Mourinho’s presence.
Sorry for any rant/emo elements in this post, I couldn’t help it.
2nd day through
I got through the 2nd day of the exams in one piece… Haha… BM 2 was alright, wasn’t too tough. Same for English 2. BM 1 went a little wrong… The paper, all in all, was a little confusing. Well, I’d say I’m lucky, maybe till I face Maths… Gah… off to study.
Happy be-lated b’day to Yin Lee btw! =)
Exams start in 14.5 hours and counting
Yup, my exams officially start in about 14 hours and 30 minutes. Tomorrow’s BM paper two and English paper two. I wouldn’t say I’m good at writing but I’ll try my very best and hope I’ll come out with some good results. I need to go revise on the writing formats and all later and also tomorrow morning. Dang…
Our exams were supposed to be on the 6th of October, but they changed it to much before that date, for the sake of the Malays’ holidays… Oh well, at least I’ll first face four days of the exams and then have a week off school and have another 4 or 5 days of exams, continued. Then it’s an official week or so off school again… Complex, but at least they split the exam into two. I can’t wait for freedom in mid-October…
I’m off to study… Then watch the ending of the United – Chelsea clash later (just the ending, cause I only need to know he results)
Cars @ 1 Utama
I had an exceptional car-spotting day at 1 Utama today. Pics ahead! There was one nice car spotted in the “wild”, a nicely modified AC Schnitzer BMW E60 530i, spotted in 1 Utama’s so-called VIP Parking bays. Kinda ironic because the VIP parking area was outdoors while the regular parking bays were roofed

Rest assured, that’s not all, cause they had a Mitsubishi Roadshow there.

The new Lancer

The new Lancer in black
The two cars ahead arguably got the most attention, especially the red one. See for yourself.

Mitsubishi i Supermini, not for sale in Malaysia, this is the only one in existence here

The Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IX RalliArt Edition, very rare, got the most attention of all
Alright. That’s all for today. Stay tuned for more!
Ford GT
Ford – Your average daily driver. That’s what you might be thinking. Ever heard of the Ford GT? It’s a fully-fledged 550 brake horsepower supercar, designed to rival likes of the Lamborghini Gallardo, Ferrari F430 and the Porsche 911 Turbo. It’s 5.4-litre supercharged V8 catapults it to 100kph in just 3.4 seconds. Top speed is in excess of 205mph. Here’s my 1:18 Ford GT. I got too bored out as I skipped school today so I did a photoshoot for it

Don’t expect frequent updates from me nowadays. I’m busy studying and revising for my finals, so I won’t have much time to update here…

What I study with
Might be going out somewhere tonight, although I can’t be sure. If I go anywhere, I’ll try posting about it, if it’s worth it.
Bugatti Veyron Photoshoot and Randomness
The Veyron is the perfect showcase for we humans’ need for speed. 1050 brake horsepower. A monstrous quad-turbocharged 8-litre W16 engine charging the 2-ton supercar to 100 kph in just 2.5 seconds. And according to car magazine, the strangest sensation as a passenger of a flat-out Veyron is the point of realisation that after breaching 100 kph, the rate of acceleration is still increasing. Amazing. Here, then is my lovable mini Veyron. I did a photoshoot of it yesterday

I had a very simple yet satisfying dinner tonight.

INSTANT NOODLES! Too instantaneous for you?

That was über random. Don’t mind me, I’m high.
I’ve just bought Dan Brown’s Angels and Demons novel this afternoon for RM34.90. First forty pages are great, and I bet any money the rest of it will be. His first book was Digital Fortress, which I finished in little over a week. Pretty unusual for me cause the book was great. Angels and Demons was his second. I intend to read his books in the order they were released: Digital Fortress, Angels and Demons, Deception Point and The DaVinci Code.

I actually wanted this cover design from the publisher Corgi Books but it wasn’t available at MPH Jusco Bandar Baru Klang so I got the version from Pocket Books Fiction International. Doesn’t matter anyway, the cover looks cool enough too, but it’s the story that matters

Oh and I got a new card reader from e-Planet in Jusco Bukit Raja, together with the book. It’s very near MPH.

Skyblue? No sign of skyblue on you though.
It does the job. Fast. Compact. Affordable. Doesn’t look too bad either. I think it’s aluminium as it gets real hot when it’s on my PC and cools down a lot when its not working. Kinda like it. For RM29.90, kind of a good buy.

How’s my Banner?
I’m wondering how my banner/header appeals to public. It’s pretty simple and plain actually, as I didn’t use a Photoshop equipped computer that time. Do comment on the current banner.
Taken from onboard SuperStar Virgo in the South China Sea going to Vietnam (departing from Singapore) on the 6th June 2007, it shows nothing except for the ocean, the difference between the untouched waters and that after the 76800 gross tonne ship sailed over.
The horizon between the ocean and the sky isn’t parallel to the banner too. I need a new one. I’ll come up with one as soon as possible.
Posting this makes me want to go back on a cruise onboard the same ship.

Gone Shutterbugging
I’m back (I have repaired my connection by using another IP Address. Hopefully it won’t somehow ruin the other computer’s net access) and I recently got the urge to take photos of almost everything.
I did a mini photoshoot for my 1:18 Minichamps Porsche Carrera GT, using a self-made cardboard soft light-box, with instructions from Strobist. It turned out pretty well.

Comments on the model car photos would be much appreciated.
The Mooncake Festival is just around the corner now (or has it already passed?). Shopping malls everywhere have lanterns put up nowadays.

Cheras Leisure Mall (Cheras, KL)

Klang Parade (Klang)
And as an extra, Cheras Leisure Mall has acrobats to perform in public.

Acrobats performing in Leisure Mall
I also had a go in slow-shutter night photography. I don’t know if it turned out well, but I guess it’s not really bad for a beginner, right?
Photos taken on the way to Klang Parade. Wasn’t too easy to keep my hands steady with the car travelling.

Comments much appreciated. Thanks for reading!
Short Talk : September 13 2007
I won’t be blogging much from now. Why?
Because the exams are just around the corner. And my memory card reader won’t function anymore. Need to get a new one…
The 6th year
I’m not American, I’ve never been to the US, but the 9-11 tragedy was terrible. This post is dedicated to the 6th year we lived without the World Trade Centre.
